Tocllaraju, with its 6034m is the eighteenth highest mountain in the Cordillera Blanca.

It is one of the most climbed mountains in the Cordillera Blanca, but not always conquered due to the presence of fog, cracks and precipices. Its summit was conquered on July 31, 1939 by German mountaineers.

The closest city to the ascent is Huaraz, about 30 km. to the north. Currently the most used access is between the towns of Collon, Pashpa or Honcopampa.

After quickly discovering the town and its friendly inhabitants, we will begin our walk entering one of the beautiful valleys, “Ishinca” with abundant vegetation, accompanied by the river of the same name and surrounded by spectacular mountains. After a few hours we will arrive at the camp with all the team., As always upon arrival the camp will be set up.

This road is the most ascended due to its technical ease; after overcoming an ice wall of about 100 meters and with an inclination of 60 to 70 degrees we will reach the summit. After delighting our eyes and the lens of our camera with the panoramic and spectacular view of the valleys of Cojup, Ishinca, Honda and the snowy Ranrapalca, Ishinca, Palcaraju and many others, we will go down the same route to base camp to rest and celebrate.
